The day started out with the Lansings boys rolling a 966 right out of the gate, and then dropped down to 860 for the second game. As the scores were totalled the Lansing boys were in second place going into the last game by a few pins.
The lanes had tightned up the second game after being wide open the first game and we had to work with the boys to adjust to the conditions. Knowing we needed a solid game to stay in the running I worked with the boys on their shot selection and when the game was over we had rolled a 928 which should have us in the running not knowing what the other teams were doing.
Waverly, who was the IAC Large school champion won the "Class C" Section IV Championship, but Lansing took home second place and won the right to come back next weekend to bowl in the SectionIV State Qualifier.
Troy Hradisky rolled a 212 - 618 series and Brandon Mikula rolls a 210 - 573 and Brandon Emerick rolls a 214 - 557 series, and Joel Teiletaum & Cole Quigley provided all the back up we needed. Coming into the tournament I told the boys our goal was to take home a trophy and they did just that.
On Friday the Lansing Girls rolled in the "ClassC" Sction IV tournament and with 19 teams in our division they placed 7th and a great solid effort by all the girls, as each of the five girls rolled over a 400 series for the first time together all year, as they were paced by Nicole Davis's 485.
The five girls that bowled on the Lansing team were all seniors and we'll have a young rebuilding team working for us next year. Waverly girls won the IAC Large school division and won a Section IV "Class C" title here.
