ImageThe Lansing Girls Varsity Soccer team continue to roll in post season. After completing its second successive undefeated IAC regular season, the 17-0 Lady 'Cats beat Division III champs Marathon by a score of 2-0 at TC3 on 1O/15/08 to setup a showdown with state ranked and Division I rival Dryden this saturday night for the IAC championship.

It will be the third meeting of the year for the two teams. The Lady 'Cats received goals from leading scorers Rachael Palladino and Ellyn Grant-Keane in the first half. Goalkeeper M.C. Barrett and the defense were again solid in gaining their 14th shutout of the season. The team has scored a team record 149 goals and have given up 3.

The ladies are eagerly awaiting the start of the Section IV playoffs next week. The number one ranked team in Class B is seeded second and have received a first round bye. They will host the winner of Chenango Valley and Newark Valley at 3:30 on 10/15/08.
