Looking for my Passion
Looking for my Passion: Many people believe a) career and life purpose are synonymous and b) everyone has only one true passion. What of the retiree who found his passion in helping others during his working career to build their dream home? Is he now without purpose or passion due to retirement? If you look throughout your life, you’ve probably been engaged with a number of jobs and activities that indicate a common path that fulfills you in a variety of ways. I have one client that was a cheerleader in high school, held a job teaching a fun form of yoga, and is currently a successful sales manager in the apparel industry leading a team of salespeople. The commonality in her path is to lead and inspire, and it doesn’t take the form of one single job or activity. Stop worrying. Being the next Oprah is not in the stars for everyone. You can’t help but be drawn to what your own passion is. This holds true for every person, every time.
