ImageFr. Scott Michael Kubinski will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood with a Mass of Thanksgiving on Pentecost Sunday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Church, 347 Ridge Road, Lansing. A reception will follow the liturgy.

"I offer my congratulations to Father Scott on this important milestone in his priestly ministry," said Bishop Matthew H. Clark. "He is a wonderful blessing to the Diocese of Rochester and of great service and comfort to the people he has encountered along the way. May God continue to bless his ministry for many decades to come!"

 

Those in attendance will include Fr. Scott's mother, Dorothy Kubinski of Elmira, NY, family members, friends, parishioners and fellow clergy. The Knights of Columbus will also take part in the celebration.

Fr. Kubinski was born on January 23, 1955 to Dorothy and the late-Edward Kubinski. He attended Notre Dame High School in Elmira, St. John Fisher College in Rochester where he received a BA in Psychology, St. Bernard's Seminary in Rochester, and Immaculate Conception Seminary in northern New Jersey where he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Seton Hall University. He was ordained a priest on June 1, 1984 at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Rochester, NY by Bishop Matthew H. Clark.

 

He celebrated his First Mass on Sunday, July 3, 1984 at St. Casimir's (Elmira). He has served at St. Mary's (Scottsville), St. Charles Borromeo (Rochester), St. Boniface (Rochester), St. Patrick's (Owego), St. Ambrose (Rochester), St. Mary Our Mother (Horseheads), and the Catholic Community at Ithaca College. He currently serves as Pastor of the cluster of All Saints (Lansing), Holy Cross (Freeville/Dryden) and St. Anthony (Groton) Roman Catholic Churches.

 

Reflecting on his 25 years of service to the Catholic Church, Fr. Kubinski stated "It is a privilege to serve the people of God as a priest. A lot changes in 25 years, but people's dedication to the Lord and to the Catholic Church continues to inspire me. I have been blessed."
