ImageThe Lansing community carnival has long been a favorite in Tompkins County and Beyond. Best known as one of the first carnivals out for the season, the huge event has also come to mean great food, great music and good family atmosphere. The Lansing fire Fighters have an outstanding food menu of burgers, curly fries, dogs, sausage, clams, chili, corn, and salt potatoes. This years activity venue includes the annual parade with floats for cash awards.

Saturday May 29 at 6:00 pm is the huge parade with clowns, trucks, bikes and the awesome float contest. Line up starts on Woodsedge Dr and will be managed by a marshal.
 
There will be four cash prizes for floats this year.  Judges will award the best four floats cash prizes $400.00, $300.00, $200.00 and $100.00 There is no theme requirement so be as creative and outstanding as you can be. Floats must be on any non motorized trailer or wagon pulled by vehicle or animal.  Floats must be registered with the Fire Department before May 24th.

As always the carnival is held behind Lansing Central Station at the Lansing Carnival Grounds, 80 Ridge Rd in Lansing.
