Marine Corporal Christopher Bordoni age 21, was severely injured in an attack involving a suicide bomber. He was serving in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province at the time. A suicide bomber on a motorcycle entered the area and many were killed or injured. He was sent to a hospital in Germany, and was transferred to the San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he is now undergoing treatments.

Bordoni grew up in Ithaca and graduated from Ithaca High School. His mother, Carol Sprague, lives in Lansing and his father, Tim, lives in Ithaca. Chris and his wife, Jessica own a home in Jacksonville, N.C. They were married March of 2011.
Chris joined the Marines after high school and was deployed to Afghanistan for a second time in April 2011. After completing his second mission he would have been eligible for reserves in only a few short months. Chris and the family could use your support, it will be a long road in recovery for Chris.
