Experience! The Finger Lakes provides packaged and customized tours of the Finger Lakes region. Popular tour packages such as “The Cayuga Lake Eastside Sampler” and “Finger Lakes Falls & Gorges” are complemented by personalized services allowing visitors to tailor itineraries to match their desires. The service fills an important niche because there are currently no organizations in the Ithaca area that provide a full-service touring options, said Fred Bonn, Director of the Ithaca/Tompkins Convention and Visitors Bureau.
“We’re thrilled to have ‘Experience! The Finger Lakes’ open its doors in our area,” Bonn said. “They offer a unique service that will help visitors discover our region and enjoy all that the Finger Lakes has to offer.”
Experience! The Finger Lakes, LLC is owned and operated by Alan D. Falk and Laura Winter Falk, 20-year residents of the Finger Lakes. Alan Falk, CEO, has an extensive background in the software industry. Laura Winter Falk, president, has worked in the software industry, and has served as president of the Board of Directors for a local non-profit school. Laura also holds a PhD in nutrition and works as part-time contracted researcher at Cornell University. Both Alan and Laura’s previous work in start-up businesses makes them well poised for starting their own company.
“Our goal is to maximize visitors’ enjoyment of the area while minimizing their effort,” stated Laura Winter Falk. “We’d like to have every guest understand why those of us who live here stay here, and those who visit come back again and again.”
