ZetrOZ has developed the world’s smallest therapeutic ultrasound systems for pain reduction and healing. Based on technology originally created by company cofounder Dr. George Lewis at Cornell University, these wearable systems allow people to reduce pain during the course of daily life without taking more drugs or reducing mobility.
ZetrOZ will use the $50,000 prize funds to scale up local manufacturing facilities and hire new personnel in preparation for their eminent product launch into the animal equine market.
“While our end goal has always been the human market, horses provide a great way to get the product out quickly while helping veterinarians and trainers heal some of the most common conditions faced by competitive horses,” said CEO Bryant Guffey. The Cornell Polo team is one such early user, as well as the top ranked Cornell Equestrian Hospital, and world-renowned equine rehabilitation clinics Rood & Riddle and Hagyard.
