The State Theatre of Ithaca, CFCU Community Credit Union and the Gateway Commons Community Series Presents: Wild Kingdoms' Peter Gros: Wildlife Expert: LIVE! on Sunday, November 5 at 3pm.
In his popular live presentations, Peter Gros shares his exciting animal world, travel experiences and timeless tales. He highlights his many adventures with a mix of video clips and bloopers while introducing friendly exotic animals to audience members, and telling inspirational stories dealing with issues of conservation, travel, and wildlife filming. Peter’s fascinating stories have been thrilling and educating audiences across the country for years.
The touring program aims to present information about wildlife conservation. Gros will share the progress he has seen in the field throughout his travels, and focus on hope for the future. It is hoped that this program will teach the importance of caring for the world around us and motivate people to get involved locally and get connected to the natural world.
Animals you’ll see LIVE at The State Theatre include: Kookaburra, Large Boa Constrictor, Madagascar Hissing Roaches, African Monitor Lizard, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Black Vulture, Binturong (also called a Pole Cat), Legless Lizard, Glass Snake, Beaver, Crested African Porcupine, Lemur, Large Red legged Tarantula, and more!
A Word About the Animals: The animal ambassadors Appearing with Peter are licensed Both state and federal and fully insured. The animals are hand raised on bottles or have been rescued so they are completely imprinted on people. When they’re not visiting theaters in fun filled educational presentations they’re visiting schools with students of all ages to help connect children to our Natural world. The hand raised animals ambassadors associate people with food rewards and affection.
When a child sees these magnificent animals up close there’s an immediate connection and concern about wildlife and wild places.
