Evergreen, the third single in kurt.riley+praxis' futuristic Chrome Empire phase, connects Riley's sci-fi vision of the decades to come with the present day in a way the artist could not have predicted.

Written in July 2018, Evergreen was slated for release in the spring of 2020. As production was underway, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world overnight - and gave new relevance to the song's content, which describes a dystopian world where food is scarce on store shelves, and individuals must don face masks while outdoors for their safety. Riley shot the music video in isolation, working remotely with his bandmates and New Vine Records to complete the audio from his home studio.

Riley’s colorful career includes records produced by Beyoncé/FKA Twigs/Run The Jewels collaborator BOOTS and Grammy Award-winning engineer Will Russell. He has appeared at the Ithaca Festival, the CFCU Summer Concert Series, Music Is Art Buffalo, and at The Center for the Arts of Homer.

The recipient of a grant from the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County, NY, Riley has been named one of the best live performers in the region by The Ithaca Journal. Sirius/XM Radio has broadcast his music via satellite, and Riley has received airplay from terrestrial stations in Toronto, Memphis, Portland, and beyond.
