“Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am” is an artful and intimate portrait of the legendary storyteller and Nobel Laurette. The film examines Morrison’s life, the powerful themes that inspired her literary career, and her impact on American culture and society.
The virtual screening event will feature guest speaker, Farrah Jasmine Griffin. Griffin serves as the Chair of African-American & African Diaspora Studies; the Director of the Institute for Research in African American Studies, and the William B. Ransford Professor of English and Comparative Literature and African-American Studies at Columbia University.
Following the screening, Professor Griffin will host a Q&A with guests to discuss the life and legacy of Morrison.
