Paddington Brown is an endearing bear who’s always getting into exciting adventures. When things get messy, can Paddington find his way out by having a positive attitude? Join Paddington as he finds himself in one mischievous mess after another and eventually makes himself at home with a new family.
“The Hangar Theatre’s theatrical production combines classic Paddington stories with a lot of fun surprises,” says director Mia Rovegno. “Our version of Paddington is inspired by the physical antics of Charlie Chaplin and set in the 1950s.”
Families are invited to a Community Read-A-Long of the book A Bear Called Paddington between the two shows on Saturday, August 1 under the tent at the theatre. Bring a bagged lunch and listen as a volunteer from the Family Reading Partnership reads the story aloud at 11:30 a.m. Then we’ll head inside and watch as those characters come to life onstage.
The Adventures of a Bear Called Paddington is made possible with support from show sponsor Northeast Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and the Kiddstuff season sponsors Wegmans and Ithaca Child.
