Michelle Brantner
When Michelle Brantner leaves Lansing High School to become Superintendent in Moravia this summer she will be leaving a big hole in the district leadership team.  Last Monday Superintendent Stephen Grimm told the Lansing Board Of Education about an aggressive schedule to replace her.

"We're very happy for her," Grimm said.  "However we have to replace her, which is the hard part."

As of Monday the district had received 73 applications on its online system.  Those will be culled to six this week.  The six will be interviewed over two days next week.  Grimm says that committees will meet for the first round of interviews that will be conducted on June 2nd and 4th.  Finalists from that round will be invited back to Lansing on June 10th for a building visit, to meet the faculty, and for continued interviews.

"We've got two heterogenous groups that will be meeting candidates along with the leadership team, which will be the third interview committee," Grimm said.  "It's important that we have a very good match for our school."
