FREEVILLE - Bernice M. Beckman, age 72, of Freeville, NY passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 at her daughter’s home in Newark Valley with her family at her side.

Born October 27, 1936 in Spencer, NY she was a daughter of the late Leon and Alice Drake. Mrs. Beckman is survived by her husband, John and a very large extended family.

At her request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to a dinner at the Candor American Legion on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 2 pm. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
