mailmanAs a ten-year resident of the Village of Lansing, I am writing to encourage Lansing Village and Town residents to come out to vote this November 5th for Gay Nicholson and Katrina Binkewicz!

It is important to point out that Village of Lansing residents DO have the opportunity to help select the two seats coming up on the Town of Lansing board in this election. Incumbent Katrina has done an excellent job in the year she has served and Gay will be a much welcomed ally for her and for their friend and colleague Ruth Hopkins- who also serves on the Board.

Village residents contribute around a third of the Town's tax base - which bolsters the case for greater intermunicipal cooperation between the Village and the Town. Increased teamwork within the Town Board will in turn help provide greater coherence for strategies helping to interconnect the whole and the parts of a greater Lansing.

Lansing will be lucky to have Gay Nicholson serving on the Town Board as she will be a very diligent and strong advocate of well-informed decision-making and outreach. She has grown deep roots of engagement with over thirty-four years of living in the community - cultivating a diversity of friends and colleagues across all of Lansing. We are at a key moment, here in 2013, where Gay's wisdom will prove beneficial in helping to advance a shared, sensitive and well-grounded vision for both the Village and the Town. Her many locally attuned skills, her advocacy of knowledgeable stewardship across our area and her passion for a good and healthy future have established her as one of your best neighbors.

For four years, working together with Gay to develop numerous public programs in our region for Finger Lakes Bioneers, I was greatly impressed with the ways she can cover the territory-- bringing organizational acumen, focus, a sense of humor, and tenacity to her endeavors. She is an excellent and courageous candidate --I encourage Lansing citizens to learn more about Gay Nicholson and to join her many supporters in electing her to the Lansing Town Board on Tuesday, November 5th.
