mailmanDear Editor:

My family and I are moving to Lansing in November, but unfortunately not in time to vote in the election. I am therefore urging you to vote in my stead for the three Lansing Democratic candidates on November 5. We are moving to Lansing to enjoy the beauty of the lake and countryside and sincerely hope the government that is elected on November 5 will strive to protect the natural beauty of the town and it’s wealth of natural resources for future generations.

I strongly support Katrina Binkewicz’s re-election to Lansing Town Board. I have worked closely with Katrina restoring Salt Point and greatly respect her intelligence, integrity, and ability to get things done through teamwork andcreative problem solving. Katrina is a tireless bi-partisan advocate for the entire community and is capable of making the tough decisions necessary to balance the needs of industrial, business, and residential development with prudent environmental planning. Lansing is fortunate to have such a capable, accessible, and fiscally responsible representative who is willing to go the extra mile for her constituents. Please give her your vote so that she may continue her excellent work on behalf of the town.

Gay Nicholson will make an exceptional Town Board representative for the people of Lansing bringing to the table her in depth knowledge of the social, economic, and environmental issues impacting the community and her years of effective leadership, team building, and consensus building. Gay and I worked together for many years when she was the director of the Finger Lakes Land Trust and on several Lansing community projects, and I found her to be an especially hardworking, dedicated, honest, and committed community leader.

Pat Pryor, Lansing’s County Board Representative, is a tireless, honest worker for the community of Lansing and has a proven record for effective, accessible government. Pat takes her elected responsibilities very seriously and In contrast to her opponent’s absenteeism, she has near-perfect attendance at county board meetings. Pat has been a fair and responsive voice for the people of Lansing, demanding accountability in spending hard-earned taxpayer dollars. Keep Pat working for us at the county level—vote for Pat on Election Day.
