I'm glad that Congressman Reid supports the 'Survivors Bill of  Rights' and that he cares about victims of sexual assault; however , this bill is a "day late and a dollar short".

This bill treats the victim as an 'after thought'. If the politicians really cared about victims of violent crime; and make no mistake about this: sexual assault is a violent crime, then they would repeal the (un)Safe Act immediately, and allow  women (and men) to protect themselves from sexual predators.
