(1) For some time I have observed that Albany finds it much easier to increase fees and taxes or create new fees and taxes than to decrease the amounts spent on non essentials.
Our new governor seems to think he has free access to the average tax payers pockets and continues to spend.
Perhaps we should send a message that is loud and clear - all incumbents that side with the governor will be out of work when election time comes - along with the governor.
(2) Don't know how many residents are as tired as I am of picking up those yellow plastic bags with flyers inside that are deposited on my driveway. They are an eye-sore and are not being cleaned up by many residents across the area. I have found nothing of interest in any of them and if I want a store flyer I usually get one when I get to he store and leave it there. Please urge the Ithaca Journal to stop if you are not interested in receiving them.
