The Tompkins County Council of Governments (TCCoG) deserves our **Many Thanks** for sponsoring the NYS DEC dSGEIS comment forum on 12/1 at the State Theater to allow greater access for our community to participate in an important democratic process that is daunting for many.

Via their advertising of the many methods to comment, at least 1000 additional local comments will be submitted, for the benefit of us all in the Finger Lakes region.

Thanks also to the volunteers at that event from the Get Your GreenBack Tompkins campaign (50+ coalition organizations and growing) for giving out free educational bags about saving energy and saving dollars while creating local jobs through those very actions.

Any resident can log in a step taken at GetYourGreenBackTompkins.org and enter our raffle ($2,000 in gift-card-type prizes) but also nominate a neighbor or friend to be recognized who is already taking any such creative steps. We're planning a huge campaign-launch celebration and dance party (maybe at the State Theater) on Leap-Year evening (2/29/12) and all county residents are invited!
