After almost 100 minutes of play on an overcast day at the Wright National Soccer fields in Oneonta, NY the Lansing Bobcats (15-2) were finally able to put the ball in the back of the net for a 1-0 win over their cross-lake rivals, the Trumansburg Blue Raiders (15-2).
The Bobcats dominated play throughout the contest with nine shots on goal, nine corner kicks and four free kicks vs two shots on goal and two corner kicks for the Blue Raiders. The Bobcats were unable to score through 80 minutes of regulation play and one 15-minute overtime period. The Trumansburg defense and goalie, Jack English kept the Bobcats off the board.
With a little over nine minutes left in the second overtime period Bobcat Nick Parkes sent a through ball that was tipped by Luke Fields to Langston Hopkins who outran the remaining Blue Raider defenders and slipped the ball past the goalie for the win.
The Bobcats' next contest will a Regional contest, Saturday, November 5th at the Wright National Soccer Fields in Oneonta, NY. The opponent is to be determined.

#3 Lansing Football got knocked out by #2 Spencer VanEtten/Candor 28-20 in a sectional semifinal match. Winner will meet undefeated Newark Valley in the Section IV Class C final.
