ImageThe Girls Varsity Basketball team finished up the regular season with a record of 14-4. The Ladycats concluded the season with a difficult four day stretch that saw them play three games, at Waverly where they lost 45-33, at home to Elmira Notre Dame a 63-56 defeat and finished up with a home victory over Trumansburg 55-42.

Saturday at Waverly the Ladycats were tied at the end of three quarters with the 11th ranked team in Class A. However their size proved to be too much as they were outscored 18-6 over the final 8 minutes. Rachael Palladino's led the way with 14 points, while sister Megan and Jocelyn Ford chipped in with 6 points each.

At home on Monday the Ladycats found themselves down 37-21 at the half to the number 1 ranked team in Class B. To the teams credit they fought themselves back into the game in the second half cutting the lead to 5 midway through the fourth quarter, only to come up short in the end. Jocelyn Ford led the way with 18 points, while Racheal Palladino and Kelsey Redmond each added 12 points.

Tuesday was Senior night where the Ladycats honored their four seniors, Calya Griffin, Katelyn Schramm, Jessica Morse and Cassandra Smith. They defeated Trumansburg 55-42 and were led by Jocelyn Ford's 22 points and Racheal Palladino's double double of 10 points and 13 steals.

Next action for the Ladycats will be February 14th at Ithaca for a 7:00 Varsity only contest.
