	Print				 The Lansing Varsity Volleyball team finished its regular season with wins over Union Springs, Waverly, and Newfield.  All five seniors played well in their last home match, winning 3-0 over Union Springs on October 17th (25-11, 25-6, and 25-11).
The Lansing Varsity Volleyball team finished its regular season with wins over Union Springs, Waverly, and Newfield.  All five seniors played well in their last home match, winning 3-0 over Union Springs on October 17th (25-11, 25-6, and 25-11).  Ashley Schuster treated the crowd to jump serves, resulting in 9 aces. Lori McKane delivered dependable digs on the back court, and Brittany Wilcox contributed digs and 2 kills. Both Brooke Burke and Desi Burke continued their season-long steady combination of offense and defense: Brooke had 5 kills and 11 digs, Desi 7 assists and 6 digs.
Lansing's juniors showed promise of a competitive season next fall. Kari Fenner led in all-round performance against Union Springs with 10 digs, 5 aces, and 5 kills. Kristen Beyea led the team with 6 kills, Taylor Bandler had 5 aces and 7 assists, and Nicolo Gentile and Nikki Gain had 15 digs and 6 digs, respectively. Sunah Bong contributed 4 digs and a kill from back court and ended the set and match on a high note with 2 consecutive service aces.
In the Bobcats' October 16th match, after an initial Waverly lead, Tory Cutting jumpstarted Lansing's momentum with a block and kill early in the first set. The second set was marked by a volley of battling pushes. Lansing faltered in set 3, donating half of Waverly's points through errors. Then Lansing sealed the victory in set 4 for a 3-1 win (25-16, 25-20, 21-25, 25-14).
Lansing's service prowess was evident at Waverly. Nicolo Gentile had 7 aces, with a consecutive hat trick in the first set. Brooke Burke served up 6 aces, including 5 during her 6-point service streak in set 2, and Taylor Bandler had 4 aces. Taylor's 7 assists contributed to Tara Miller's 5 kills, and Brooke Burke's 4 kills. Nikki Gain put in a solid back-court performance with 8 digs.
In their last match, Lansing romped over Newfield 3-0 on October 20th (25-5, 25-12, 25-7). Kari Fenner delivered five aces and four kills, and Ashley Schuster two aces and five kills.
