On the boys side of the lanes the Lansing boys lost the first game by 3 pins and didn’t recover from that as Watkins Glen boys rolled to 2886 total pins to our 2495. But along the way the Lansing boys showed improvement with Trevor Rounds 245- 603, followed by Matt Tucci 238 – 546 and Nick Geisler 502 and Harrison Herzog’s 496. The Lansing team will be in Groton on Tuesday night.
The Lansing Bobcats went to Groton on Tuesday night to bowl the Indians in a cross over match. The Lansing Girls showed improvement with Mary Bacorn leading the way with a fine 203 third game and a 501 series. She was helped by Kristi Sullivan 170/499, Brooke Burke 181/482 and Katy Bland’s 179/474. The Lansing girls rolled 2364 to Groton’s 2325 which was lead by Kearston Cornwell’s 191/502.
The boys didn’t fare as well in the points end but showed continuing improvement which is what I’m looking for with a very young team. Lansing was paced by Harrison Herzog’s 212/580 and Tim Carlson’s 190/538. The Groton Indian’s boys rolled well with Greg Churchill rolling a 212/598 and Cody Baker’s 187/560. Both Lansing teams will action again this week at home as Elmira Notre Dame comes to town on Thursday night.
