ImageThe Ithaca Shooting Stars 14U girls hockey team finished their season playing in the Don Vetter Memorial tournament hosted by the Canandaigua Knights March 21-22, and playing area teams the previous weekend.  They tied the host Knights 16U girls 4-4 and lost to the Perinton Edge girls 0-3 which placed them in the semi-final game rematch with the Knights which ended 4-6.  In other action they defeated the Skaneateles Lakers 16Us, 3-2, and fell to the Binghamton Blizzard 16Us, 3-4.

In the Canandaigua tournament games, they recognized a Player of the Game for each team.  Goalie Alex Stagliano was honored for two of the games, and forward Bridget Derraugh for the third.  Derraugh had four goals including two unassisted, and three assists, in the three contests.  Clara Karastury scored two goals  while Grace Ulinski scored once and assisted on two goals. Camille Rogers also scored one goal.

Against Skaneateles, Rogers scored twice assisted by Rachel Brock twice and once also by LT Furman. Derraugh scored assisted by Zsofi Szegletes and Sophia Hunt. Stagliano made 19 saves in goal. In the Binghamton game,  Derraugh had two goals and Zoe Sweetland one. Rogers and Brock each had one assist, and Stagliano stopped 32 shots.

The 14U Shooting Stars were coached by Joel Brock assisted by Ed Pasto.  Other players included Ismini Ethridge, Jacy Hollander, Risa Ulinski, and Marlena Doerr.
