ImageThe 2009 Lansing American Legion Baseball Team opened the Summer with an 8-1 victory over Moravia's Legion team.  Justin Payne (headed to Herkimer C.C.) picked up the win while striking out 4 and scattering 4 hits over 4 innings.  Payne also added a pair of hits and rbis.  Josh Rodgers (Virginia Tech) earned the save with 3 solid innings in relief.

Brian Milliman (Mansfield University) and Harrison Herzog each had a triple.  Michael Bradford added 2 hits while Bradley Bartlett stole 3 bases including a second inning steal of home.

The Bobcats scored 4 runs in each of the first 2 frames highlighted by a first inning suicide squeeze bunt by Nate Martin. Lansing returns to action with games on Sunday and Monday and then travel to Ithaca High School on Wednesday evening.
