Helen Newman Newark Valley came to bowl on December 23, and what a close match was had by both boys and girls. For the boys Lansing started out by rolling 957 in the first game, then slipped in the second and third to lose a close match as Newark Valley rolled 2812 to our 2785 taking three of the four points. Derek Fenn of Newark Valley lead all bowlers with a fine 237-661, as Lansing tried to stay in the match with Harrison Herzog rolling 234-635 & Tim Carlson 221-609.

On the girls side things were much the same as Newark Valley came out in the first game with a 708 to Lansing's 654, but then Newark Valley slipped a little and Lansing took the next to games and just missed taking total pins as the teams split the points two to two, as Newark Valley totaled 2042 to Lansing's 2022. Kirten Chase lead all the girls with a 219-495 for Newark Valley, then Lansing two seniors  Ashley Fleming and Katy Bland roll 440 and 436. A good match over all for both teams.
