The Lansing Girls JV Basketball team defeated Waverly Tuesday night 48-41 to win the IAC Large School Championship. The team completed the year with a perfect 18-0 record in the IAC, winning the North Large Division along the way. They finished the season 18-1, with their lone loss coming at Section III Whitesboro in a non-league contest. The team was guided by first year coach Andrea Huskie, and was composed of sophomores Taylor Policay, Sabrina Tilton, Soraya Leathers and Megan Drake, Freshman Brittany Mikula, Liz Gonyea, Halle Knowles, Shalyn Watson, Jada Gooch, Maddi McDonald and Mikayla Berry, 8th grader Audrey Eastman and 7th gaders Maura and Shea McCartney.

The Lansing Girls Varsity team plays Watkins Glen for the IAC Large School Championship on Friday at TC3 at 6:00, followed by the Lansing Varsity boys game against Elmira Notre Dame.
