ImageThe Lansing boy’s golf team won the Class “C” sectional championship on Monday, May 24th in Marathon.  Seniors Craig Esposito and Austin Moore led the bobcats with a 74 and 78 respectively, while sophomore Conor Stanhope also contributed with a solid round of 79.

All three finished in the top ten in the championship and earned medals for their accomplishments.  Joe Skeps finished with an 84 and Ethan Kutler rounded out the scoring with a 90.  Seton Catholic finished in second place 9 strokes behind.

On Wednesday, May 26th, the golf team competed in the IAC Tournament at Soaring Eagles Golf Course and won the “Large School” Championship.  The top three scores for the tournament were turned in by Lansing.  Austin Moore finished first overall with a 75, while Craig Esposito placed second with a 77 and Conor Stanhope was third with a 78.

Another highlight of the match was turned in by freshman Ethan Kutler who recorded a hole in one on the par 3 – 17th hole.  Kutler finished his round with an 85 and was joined by teammate Zach Myers who also turned in an 85.  Watkins Glen finished in second place 50 strokes behind the bobcats.
