The Lansing Varsity Softball Team finished the season very strong with wins over Trumansburg & Marathon and just in time for the upcoming Sectional game against 9th seeded Waverly this Thursday at home. Coach Randy Randall says he is very excited about where his program is going.

Another 'positive' this season is that the LadyCats are hosting the first home Sectional game, something that hasn't happened here in a while.  That with the I.A.C. All Star Section this past Friday boasts 6 players on the All Star Team.

Senior Outfielder Kari Fenner,Junior Nikki Arcangeli and Junior Nina Lindberg placed on the 1st Team, Junior Sarah Eisenhut and Junior Trish Miller placed on the 2nd Team and Sophomore Taylor Policay (honorable mention).

Randall took his team to Groton on Monday and Dryden on Tuesday for games in preparation for Sectionals and says the girls played those games with heart and desire and won decisively.  He and his team are excited about the Waverly game and beyond.  Randall tells his players that their commitment to the softball program is why Lansing Softball is back!
