Junior 132 pounder, Connor Lapresi paced the Bobcat grapplers with his first State Title. In front of a crowd of 6500 +, Connor beat Curt Rowley of Section 2 Duanesburg 6-3 in the final.
Lapresi's State Title marked the 4th State title in Lansing Wrestling history, Kyle Dake, in 2007, and 2009; Will Koll in 2011.
Other standout performances, included sophomore Will Koll who placed 3rd by pinning Govenuer's Dylan Stowell.
Senior Ryan Todd ended his high school career with a 139- 21 career record, and his 3rd consecutive place on the podium. Todd lost 2 tough matches, however, stayed tough and beat Saranac's Ben Perry for a respectable 5th place finish. Finally, senior Corey Dake, ended his Lansing Career with a 150-25 record, his forth consecutive trip to the podium, and a personal best 3rd place finish. Dake avenged his loss in the section 4 final to Tristan Rifanburg, of Norwich 2-0, and he beat Dylan Rifenburg 3-0, of Palmyra - Macedon for 3rd.

We will be traveling to Princeton New Jersey for the EIWA's this weekend, to follow Cornell's quest for their 7th consecutive EIWA title, and of coarse Kyle Dake.
