ibr_logo120The Ithaca Board of REALTORS® PR committee organizes and sponsors a raffle every year to benefit a local not-for-profit organization.  This year, The Learning Web Youth Outreach Housing Scholarship Program was chosen to be the recipient of all proceeds raised from raffle ticket sales.  The raffle was a huge success and raised $2000 to benefit the Learning Web.

The check was presented to the Learning Web on Monday October 3rd at a modest reception at the Ithaca Board of REALTOR’s office in Community Corners. Members of the IBR PR committee, David Wahl, Co-Chair Kelly Cullen, and Co-Chair Lindsay Hart as well as the IBR Board President Rosemary (Ro) Rukavena presented the $2000 check to Dale Schumacher, Sally Schwartzbach, and Larry Farbman from the Learning Web.

“We’d like to thank those local businesses that graciously and generously donated prizes to help makes this raffle a huge success,” said Lindsay Hart, PR committee co-chairperson.  “And thank you to everyone who participated in helping make this raffle so successful, from the PR committee to those who bought raffle tickets!”

Local business that donated raffle prizes were American Crafts by Robbie Dean,  Ithaca Journal,  Benjamin Peters, Boat Yard Grill, Ithaca Times,  Carriage House Café, Kitchen Theatre, Cayuga Radio Group, Magnolia Massage(Leslie Wright and Kat Olsen), Finger lakes Distilling, Mahogany Grill,  Finger lakes Fitness Center, Maxies Supper Club, Flower Fashions, Moosewood, Good To Go Market, NorthEast Pizza/Scale House, Hangar Theatre, Ron Don's Village Pub, Sign-a-Rama, Island Health & Fitness Center , The Ithaca Ale House, Ithaca Guitar Works, and Trumansburg Public Golf Course.
