The Ithaca Health Alliance has appointed Justine Schaff, MD, to the position of Medical Director of the Ithaca Free Clinic. Dr. Schaff, who helped to found the Clinic in 2006, has been an active volunteer since its inception and is familiar with program developments and planned enhancements to the services the Ithaca Free Clinic offers. Employed in the Emergency Department of Cayuga Medical Center, Dr. Schaff is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon, the University of Pennsylvania, and Temple University Medical School. Following college and medical training, she completed a four-year residency program in Emergency Medicine at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. She has resided in Tompkins County since 2002 and presently makes her home in Newfield with her husband and children.
