Cayuga Medical Center announced today Julie Campbell, MD, has joined Cayuga Hematology Oncology Associates. Dr. Campbell joins the practice of Timothy Bael, MD and Charles Garbo, MD.Dr. Julie Campbell earned her bachelor's degree summa cum laude from Binghamton University. She went on to earn her Medical Doctorate from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Campbell completed her internship and residency at Columbia University. In 2008 she began an Oncology and Hematology fellowship at Columbia University and finished in June of this year. Dr. Campbell is board certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Campbell has earned several awards. In 2010 she earned the Physician of the Year and Fellow of the Year from Columbia University, and the Hecht Early Investigator Award from the Society of Integrative Oncology, and this year, the Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Campbell is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Association for Cancer Research. She has a variety of teaching experiences and has been published twice.
