Complementing the 2012 Mainstage season, the Hangar Theatre brings a magical series of live theatre for young audiences to the Ithaca stage. The Hangar's KIDDSTUFF features live plays and musicals based on children's favorite stories. After opening with The Little Mermaid, the season continues with The Adventures of the Dish and the Spoon, running July 19-21.

Crime doesn't pay and love conquers all in this fun-filled musical based on the classic nursery rhyme. Mini Grey's spin on the classic nursery rhyme, "Hey diddle, diddle, the cat and the fiddle" is a love story of sorts that starts when "the dish ran away with the spoon." In the midst of the Great Depression, Dish and Spoon become rich and famous vaudeville stars-until their taste for the high life lands them in debt to a gang of knives. The cinematic presentation is a visual treat, providing absurd good fun for the whole family.

The KIDDSTUFF season also includes of How I Became A Pirate July 26-28, Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells! August 9-11, and Seussical Jr. August 23-25. KIDDSTUFF performances take place at the Hangar Theatre and run Thursdays - Saturdays at 10 am and 12 pm.
