As a Lansing resident, I am very much aware of the energy, time, and commitment that have gone into making our Lansing Library a reality. The people associated with the library have done an amazing job in creating a valuable community resource. This is why it is absolutely mind boggling to me that something this good is being fought off for a few pennies of our tax dollars. Not only is our library a resource educationally, it is also a uniting force for our community. While we are willing to put thousands of dollars into ball fields and recreational activities--which I value and support as well--it is difficult for me to understand why there are those opposed to this wonderful facility which is such an asset. I can think of nothing else that provides such a huge bang for the taxpayer buck as the community library.
Keep the library; vote “No”!
Sincerely,
Dr. Paul Kempkes
