The Ladycats, playing before a raucous home crowd, complete with a student section attired in black for their "Blackout" pulled away late in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Jocelyn Ford, playing on a severely sprained ankle, led the way with 18 points. She received outstanding support from a number of players, MC Barrett contributed 15 points all in the pivotal second half on 7 of 9 shooting from the floor in addition to playing great defense.
Beth Lader scored 12 points, Rachael Palladino chipped in with 8 points and 8 assists and 5 steals, Stephanie Gonyea added 8 points off the bench and Ellyn Grant-Keane had 4 points 8 assists and 4 steals. The Ladycats will play Oneonta 22-0 the number 1 seed in Section IV and currently ranked number 2 in New York State Class B, at 6:00 at the Broome County Arena Friday night.
