The Girls Varsity Basketball team lost to Oneonta 41-32 in the Section IV Class B Championship game last Friday night.  The Ladycats finished the year with a record of 22-1 and were IAC Division I champions and IAC overall champions.

Jocelyn Ford led the way with 10 points, while Rachael Palladino and MC Barrett added 9 points each. After taking a early 8 point first quarter lead the Ladycats were outscored 22-2 to trail by 12 points at the half. In the second have they cut the lead to 6 with possession of the ball, but could get no closer following a missed opportunity at that point.

It was an outstanding season for the Ladycats.  Rachael Palladino set a single season steal record with 129, surpassing Lindsey Dean's 119. The team set a defensive record by holding their opponents to 30.9 points per game, the previous record was 31.4.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the "Lansing Lunatics" and all of our fans for their fantastic support throughout the season, and I would like to wish the very best of luck to our three graduating seniors Beth Lader, Meagan and Rachael Palldino.
