ImageThe Lansing Varsity Boys Swim Team placed third in the IAC Championships last Saturday, scoring 227 points.  Watkins Glen took first place this year with 358, followed by Waverly in second place.

Clement Towner, Tayor Germain, Jeremy Craig and Josh Tull placed second in the Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:48.89.  In the second event, Lansing's Clement Towner took first place, completing the 200 Yard Freestyle in 1:51.11.  Jake Ryan also scored in the top ten, finishing fifth in 2:07.84.  Tayor Germain placed fourth in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:32.25.  In the 50 Yard Freestyle Casey Hagin finished second in 23.07.  Ben Veaner placed seventh in 25.89.

Lansing diver Marty Aasen scored 233.60 to win seventh place, and Cristian Zaloj 222.65 for eighth.

Jeremy Craig finished the 100 Yard Butterfly in 1:09.49 to score in fifth place.  Casey Hagin completed the 100 Yard Freestyle in 51.14 for second place, with Ben Veaner taking eighth in 57.27.  Jake Ryan took third in the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:46.48.  Josh Tull scored in fifth place in 5:51.41.

Lansing's Relay 'A' team finished second in 1:40.64, when Ben Veaner, Tayor Germain, Paul Giannelis and Casey Hagin came in only four seconds behind the Watkins team.  Lansing was number one when Clement Towner completed the 100 Yard Backstroke in 56.68.  Josh Tullscored sixth in 1:07.27.  In the 100 Yard Breaststroke Tayor Germain finished fourth in 1:11.01.  And in the final event Lansing's 'A' team finished second when Casey Hagin, Ben Veaner, Josh Tull and Clement Towner completed the event at 3:38.80.

The team competes Saturday at Sectionals in Watkins Glen.
